Around October 15, 2024, the National GeoSpatial agency produced two top-secret documents about Israel’s military capabilities in light of their likely attack on Iran. Within 48 hours after their creation, the documents appeared on the Telegram channel and the X/Twitter of Middle East Spectator. Per the Department of Justice, the documents had been printed and photographed. The government identified Asif William Rahman, a CIA employee operating out of the U.S. Embassy in Cambodia, as having printed the documents and indicted him under the Espionage Act. On June 11, 2025, Rahman was sentenced to 3 years and 1 month in prison.
